Very welcoming staff .A nice cup of coffee and price of shortbread eachI left there feeling very blessed.

Great food at great prices (beware the portion sizes!) David, the chef /owner, was there to welcome us in and see us to our seats. Almost everything on the menu can be ordered as a small or large portion. We ordered haggis balls in a gluten free batter for the starter - delicious! While waiting for the starter, David brought out complimentary herb scones, a nice touch indicative of much more expensive places. My wife ordered a small portion of macaroni cheese while I went for the steak pie, also small portion. When the plates arrived I pointed out the we had ordered the small plates. David's matter of fact response was that, "Aye, oor portion sizes are robust". The steak pie was delicious as was the macaroni cheese, clearly made with a "robust" amount of butter and with a crispy topping. Both were served with good quality chips, none of which my wife was able to eat due to a sufficiency of aforementioned macaroni. Hence my earlier warning. I could go on and on but it's enough to say, visit and you will return, as will we. And we did, yesterday before visiting the Perth in winter lights display. Again the food was delicious and David has refurbished and redecorated the restaurant, making much lighter but warm. A special mention must be made of David's style, his occasional presence front of house is entertaining and reassuring: he is both self - effacing and enthusiastic about his food. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

most wonderful service, excellent food.waitress said 11 - twice :) :) :)

A nice little pub with good selection of drinks and food, nice vibe, sometimes with live music too.

Great food , staff really friendly. We arrived late, but they kept the kitchen open for us. Nothing was to much trouble.
